Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Wumpo.cloud ("Wumpo", "we", "us") collects, why, and your rights over it. Wumpo is run by Soulstack, an independent British software house based in the United Kingdom. Soulstack is not a registered company. We are the data controller for the data described here. 1. What we collect

  • Account: your email or sign-in identifier, display name and display preferences.
  • Server setup: your server name, chosen plan and region, and world settings.
  • Billing: handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We store a Stripe customer reference and your subscription status. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Support: the messages and email address you send us.
  • Technical: IP address, log and event data, and timestamps, used to run and secure the service.
  • Your server's own data: your game world, saves and any player information on your server. You control this as the server operator.

2. Why we use it (lawful bases)

  • To provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract).
  • To keep the service secure and working, and to prevent abuse and fraud (our legitimate interests).
  • To meet legal duties, such as keeping payment and tax records (legal obligation).
  • Where you have given consent, such as optional messages, which you can withdraw.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small set of trusted providers to run the service:

  • Google Cloud and Firebase: hosting, sign-in, database, storage and backups.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): email delivery.
  • Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: bot and abuse protection.

If you connect a Discord webhook, your notifications are sent to Discord at your request. We may also share data where the law requires it.

4. Where your data is held

We host in the European Union by default. Your account and service data sit in the EU (Google Cloud, EU multi-region), backups are stored in the EU, and email is delivered through AWS in the EU (London). Your game server runs in the region you choose; today that is Europe, and we may add other regions in future, in which case your world data will sit in the region you pick. Stripe processes payments on its own global infrastructure.

5. International transfers

Your data is handled primarily in the UK and the EEA. Where a provider or a server region you choose involves a transfer outside the UK or EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard safeguards such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account and server data: while your account is active and for a short period after it closes.
  • Backups: on a rolling basis, typically for up to 7 days.
  • Payment records: for as long as the law requires, up to 6 years for UK tax.
  • Logs: for a limited period, then deleted.

When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your data, keeping only what the law requires.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any right, email help@wumpo.cloud.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would ask that you contact us first so we can try to put it right.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies and similar storage, needed to keep you signed in and to protect the service from abuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children

Wumpo is not intended for children under 13, or under the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always lives on this page with its date. This policy is governed by UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR as updated by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. Questions or requests: help@wumpo.cloud.
